André Mikhaliovitch LANSKOY, born in Moscow in 1902 and died in 1976, is a French painter of Russian origin. When the revolution of 1917 broke out, he joined the White Army in Kiev where he was a refugee. Lanskoy devoted himself definitively to painting on his arrival in 1921 in Paris where he attended the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. Wilhelm Uhde noticed him in 1924. Until 1939, he exhibits in the Netherlands. In Paris, after the war, his painting evolves towards abstraction. He is one of the last Russian representatives who influenced the last Ecole de Paris.
