Omega is a Swiss watch manufacturer founded in 1848 and today based in Biel, Switzerland. Thanks to its age, longevity and visibility, Omega is a leading brand in the Swiss watch industry. In 1957 Omega launched three legendary models: the Omega Seamaster, the Omega Railmaster and the Omega Speedmaster. These are the brand’s most popular models. The Omega Speedmaster is known as the first watch to go to the moon on the Apollo 11 mission on July 21, 1969. The Omega Speedmaster has been produced continuously since 1957 and is available in many different references and variations. It is a model which is highly prized by collectors and can be sold at auction.
