The jewellery department organises prestige auctions specialising in this field. They feature diamonds, precious stones, fine pearls and jewellery generally dating from the early 19th century to the present day.
Much of the jewellery is by the great jewellers of the Place Vendôme, like Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels and Boucheron, but there are also pieces by smaller-scale 20th century designers like Suzanne Belperron, Templier, René Boivin, Lalique and Fouquet.
Our outstanding location in Neuilly-sur-Seine and the quality of the pieces entrusted to us during the last 20 years have enabled us to develop a top-class buyer clientele of international collectors and investors throughout the world. Certificates issued by laboratories or specialists are offered to them, together with photos and condition reports. Private exhibitions followed by a public exhibition are also organised before each auction, during which our team are on hand to assist, backed up by expert Philippine Dupré la Tour.
After studying at the Sorbonne, Philippine Dupré la Tour joined Claude Aguttes in 2000, and immediately started a course at the Institut National de Gemmologie de Paris. In 2003, she took over as head of the jewellery department at Neuilly-sur-Seine, where she oversees all valuations of antique and modern jewellery, diamonds and precious stones and, naturally, valuations in her specialist field: fine pearls. Her work is essential to the staging of catalogued jewellery sales, which take place every three months, generally in March, June, October and December (arranged according to the calendar), in Neuilly-sur-Seine and Lyon.
Valuations mainly take place two days each month at our offices in Neuilly-sur-Seine and Lyon. You just need to make an appointment with Philippine Dupré la Tour, who will then value your jewellery, precious stones or fine pearls. You will be given an estimate in view of their sale at auction. This oral valuation is free.
We can also carry out valuations at your home or your bank.
With certain stones or pearls, an analysis can be undertaken by an independent laboratory with an international reputation. This service is also free; only the laboratory’s fee is charged.
We can also carry out inventories in view of inheritance divisions , and can give you advice to ensure that everything goes as smoothly as possible.
