“I love it when cars bear the marks of time. Their bodyworks become a testament to the passion of those who took the wheel!”
– Gautier Rossignol
With over 20 million euros in 2022, a 50% increase compared to the previous year, our Collector Cars department has been consistently growing since its creation and records the highest sales rate in the automotive sector, ranking as the 2nd operator in the French market.
Made up of a team of six people, Aguttes on Wheels organizes five auctions per year. Three of them take place in Paris at the Espace Champerret in the 17th arrondissement of the capital (March, June, and December). In partnership with some of the most prestigious players, Aguttes on Wheels also hosts 2 to 3 exceptional sales alongside internationally renowned events such as the Tour Auto and the Adventure Peugeot Citroën DS.
Since 2016, 21 collections have passed through the department Aguttes on Wheels. Each collection is unique, and our expertise allows us to tailor an approach that meets the specific needs of each client. Throughout the sales process, our team works to provide a personalized and efficient service aiming to deliver a memorable experience.
Based on targeted marketing strategies and an international communication in nearly 45 countries, the department promotes and supports its sellers by attracting the most prominent collectors from the Middle East, Asia, Europe, as well as the United States and South America.
Continuously evolving, Aguttes on Wheels is a key player in the digital market since 2018, offering four exclusively online sales dedicated to Automobilia on our Aguttes Online platform.
Emphasizing transparency in all its transactions, maintaining close relationships with its clients, and providing excellent after-sales service, our team accompanies collectors in their passion with utmost dedication. Our specialists curate cars ranging from pre-war classics to the most prestigious racing cars, not to mention the grand GTs of the 1950s and 1970s, all the way to the Youngtimers of the 1990s. With nineteen new records set in 2022, Aguttes on Wheels actively engages with collectors in a constantly evolving market.
Our commitment to getting as close as possible to the expectations of each collector has led Aguttes on Wheels to offer a private sales service since 2018.
These private sales leverage the extensive network that Aguttes on Wheels has woven with the most influential collectors and players in the market: historians, brand clubs, manufacturers, tuners as well as organizers of the most prestigious events in the world. All this is done with the sole purpose of achieving the best sale or a private acquisition. Since its creation, more than thirty private sales have been successfully completed. Examples include the March 711-2 ex-Niki Lauda, the vice-champion of the world in 1971, the Jordan 191#6 ex-Andrea de Cesaris/Team 7UP Jordan, and a Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Gr. IV ex-12 Hours of Sebring 1972.
While discretion is the guiding principle, targeted communication and personalized promotion are designed to maximize visibility to the general public or a carefully selected clientele based on the vehicle.
Ensuring the security of the transaction and handling all administrative and logistical aspects are our responses to the expectations of the most exacting collectors.
Ten Automobiles de Collection & Automobilia auctions punctuate our department’s calendar. It stands out through its top-tier partnerships, as the automotive specialists at Aguttes have had the honor of orchestrating auctions at prestigious events such as the renowned Tour Auto by Peter Auto and the European Heritage Days with Aventure Peugeot Citroën DS. Not to forget the Official Sale of the highly sought-after Rallye d’Aumale and the May 1st auction with the iconic Galerie des Damiers. These well-attended auctions have allowed the department to build trustful and close relationships with both buyers and sellers.
At the beginning of 2021, the Collector Cars department achieved the remarkable feat of sourcing and selling three of the most sought-after Ferraris – F40, 288 GTO, and Daytona Gr. IV – within just a few days in a highly dynamic market.
As the Dakar Classic gained momentum, we also had the immense privilege of handling the most mythical car in the history of the Paris-Dakar rally: the legendary Rolls-Royce Jules prototype, which was driven by Thierry de Montcorgé and Charles Pelletier in 1981. We will soon see this vehicle back on the sandy tracks of Saudi Arabia.
