Enthusiasm for all products by Hermes is as lively as ever; handbags are particularly popular, as are all accessories, including belts, fancy jewellery and silk scarves.
Luggage and leather goods, when produced by great names such as Goyard, Chanel, Vuitton, Dior and Gucci attract numerous enthusiasts together with clothes by leading Haute Couture companies like Chanel, Saint Laurent and Dior. Ready-to-wear versions of these companies always find buyers as long as they are still “trendy” or have been customised with the current collections of propular designers.
On the other hand, however, with very few exceptions, fur has been seriously affected by animal rights campaigns and does not sell well. Some furs do not even sell at all, such as nutria, beaver and black astrakan.
